The distressed alder cabinetry in the kitchen, made by Clear Waters Cabinetry, is warm and inviting, complemented by custom countertops from Countertops Plus. On a chilly evening, you can cozy up by the Jotul wood-burning stove, which anchors the main living space with a rustic yet refined glow.

Every detail blends heritage with modern ease. The main-floor bath features a corner shower for convenience, while the upstairs bath boasts a luxurious Japanese soaking tub, perfect for unwinding. A charming primitive corner cabinet just outside the main bath offers a nod to simpler times with a practical twist.

Behind the historic beauty is a solid new build. You’ll find thermally modified southern yellow pine siding from Arbor Wood Co., a new metal roof by Troyer Roofing & Remodeling with seamless gutters, energy-efficient Sunrise windows, and 1-inch closed-cell foam plus R-21fiberglass insulation, topped with 16 inches of cellulose in the attic.

The home runs on an electric HVAC system with upstairs mini-splits, and all plumbing and electrical were completed new by AJ’s Plumbing & Electric. The 12-inch concrete foundation walls were specially poured to cradle the original 12-inch sill beams and provide a 9-foot-tall basement ceiling with an exterior cellar entry by Flying Eagle Concrete.
