This 19-acre property is located on East Salem Road in the Salem Community of Walthall County, just north of Tylertown, Mississippi. Once a beautiful hunting and recreational tract with a residence and thriving timber, it suffered damage from a tornado in 2025 that impacted the trees and the home site.
Although the property is no longer fully wooded, there is still significant timber left, along with areas of damaged and downed trees. You will enjoy convenient road frontage, a well-built gravel drive that winds up a hill, and a wonderful homesite perched at the top with the potential for a lush yard and expansive views.
At one time, a residence stood here, and today the site still has essential utilities in place, including power, a private well, and a septic system that remains in good, usable condition, with access to fiber optic internet as well. Near the front of the property, as shown on the aerial, there is a pond that could be restored with some dozer work to clear downed timber; it is deep and has been previously stocked.
With some effort, this could become an exceptional home site, a productive hunting tract, or a peaceful hilltop getaway out of any flood plane, all while being located in the Salem School District and priced far below what a high-end SUV would cost today.
