Land like this does not become available often. This 54 acre plot of land is positioned close to many local attractions. It borders the Cherokee National Forest and the Appalachian Trail. It's also less than ten miles from Beech Mountain Ski Resort and Sugar Mountain Ski Resort.
Likewise, it's close to Roan Mountain State Park. Only a mile away from the NC/TN line, this property enjoys the advantage of low property taxes and no state income tax. With multiple ideal building sites, two ponds and gorgeous mountain views, this property has exponential potential.
Although this is listed as land, there is a rustic mountain home that overlooks a pond. Most of the home is one level, except for a loft bedroom. The wraparound porch allows you to take in the beauty of the mountains and area wildlife including: bears, deer, bobcats, foxes, hummingbirds and bald eagles.
There are areas of the property that could be selectively timbered for additional income. This property would be perfect as a second home, or you could live in the existing home while building your dream home. Additionally there is a six-person sauna, guest quarters, two barns and a storage building that could be restored or repurposed.
