Built in the mid '50's as a typical Catskill fishing and hunting camp, today's Lonesome Loch property in the 1800 acre Wolf Lake preserve, has been expanding and improved into a four-season residence patterned after as Adirondack Great Camp dwelling. Unifying these two areas are riparian buffer growths of native pines, mountain laurel, rhododendron, and huckleberry. The opposite shoreline of the pond are Wolf Lake Corp. owned land, and as a part of the preserve, are forever wild. It's also a favored huckleberry picking ground.

In addition, there is a deeded right of way to use the main lake located at teh portage between Division Pond and teh Main Wolf Lkae. A large cleared area where a boat can be stored and launched.
