I am pleased to offer this 1902 Victorian Queen Anne in historic Oread neighborhood. The home is on the National, State and Lawrence historic registers. The origin story includes Michael D. Greenlee, who held the position of Douglas County Clerk and was a prominent businessman.
I think he and Mrs. Greenlee had excellent taste in architecture. In 1984 the Lawrence Preservation Alliance (LPA) purchased the home from a local developer who was going to demolish it and build an apartment complex. Fortunately, the LPA found Todd Perderson who saved and renovated the home.
It was an early historic preservation win for LPA. The beneficiary has been our community and current steward for the past 29 years.
